Frequently asked questions

Answers to the questions I hear most often before someone starts online counselling.

What is integrative counselling?

Integrative counselling combines ideas and techniques from different therapeutic approaches. Instead of using one fixed method, I adapt the way we work to you: your needs, your goals and what feels helpful at a given moment.

How does online counselling work?

Sessions take place online via video or by phone, so you can join from any private, comfortable place. Each session lasts 50 minutes and usually takes place weekly, on the same day and at the same time.

How much does a session cost?

An individual session costs from £40 to £50. Payment needs to be made 48 hours before the session to confirm your booking.

Can we talk before I decide?

Yes. I offer a brief, free 10-minute phone call, during which we can discuss a suitable time and any questions you have before the first session.

Is counselling confidential?

Yes. I offer a confidential, safe space and work in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions. We will go through the details of confidentiality together during our first session.

Do you work with teenagers?

Yes. I have experience of working with both adults and teenagers, and I have also worked with a charity supporting families of children with special needs and disabilities.

Can I have sessions in Polish?

Yes. I offer counselling in both English and Polish, so you can choose the language in which it is easier for you to talk about your feelings.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on you. I offer both short-term and long-term therapy. Every 6–8 sessions we review your progress and goals together and decide how to continue.
